Time in Istanbul like as a friend of mine once said, “Istanbul is like a beautiful girl in a crowded room, and I’m arguing with all of the other guys to get her attention.” So it’s no surprise that summer is the best time to visit, as the city is bathed in light and filled with tourists. But although this is the most glorious season, summer is not the only time in Istanbul to visit. In fact, winter is when you’ll find the most enchanting parts of the city, and you’ll even be amazed to find that Istanbul is a city in which you can see snow in the summer.
Best Places Istanbul
When it comes to getting out of the city and exploring other parts of the world, spending time in Istanbul is an increasingly popular destination. You can find any kind of lodging, from large resort hotels to small boutique properties, as well as great museums and some of the best shopping in North America and Europe. The city also offers a large number of historical sites, including the remnants of the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine empires, as well as numerous mosques that date back to the Ottoman Empire.
Blue Mosque

Galata Tower
Galata Tower (Turkish: Galata Kulesi, [ɟalaˈta], “Galata Tower”) is a medieval tower and a famous landmark of Istanbul, Turkey. It was built by the Byzantine Emperor Romanos I Lekapenos in the late 11th century, on the site of the first Byzantine lighthouse. Galata Tower has a height of 33 m (108 ft) and a massive rectangular base (23.5 m x 33 m). The original Byzantine lighthouse (built in the 6th century) had been rebuilt in the late 11th century by Emperor Romanos I Lekapenos. A fire in 962 destroyed the first version of the tower and the lighthouse was rebuilt.

Prince’s Island
Prince’s Island is the most exotic in Istanbul. It is located in the northern part of the Golden Horn, between Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara. The island is not far from the city center, being just a short ferry ride away. Its history is colorful because it was formerly a royal palace. It is from this era that it derives its present appearance, with the buildings and gardens in the typical Ottoman style.
Dolmabahce Palace
Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul is one of the most beautiful palaces in the world. It is also a historical place and it has been built from 1839 through 1842. This historical site is among the best-known and most visited tourist attractions in Istanbul. The palace was designed by the famous architect and Italian designer, Luigi Malatesta. The palace is considered one of the most prominent examples of the applied arts and architecture of the classical period.
