San Francisco Zoo, Alcatraz Island is part of San Francisco, one of the most beautiful cities in America and a top tourist destination. Its downtown is full of diverse architectural styles, and there are lots of different kinds of unique restaurants. It has a thriving nightlife and is bursting with countless interesting and beautiful sites.
Every year I visit San Francisco for the Fourth of July weekend. It is a time to reacquaint myself with the city where most of my family lives. I love seeing the city, but I also get a chance to catch up with old friends and meet new people. On this trip, I have to go to the airport early to check my bags and make sure I have enough time to eat breakfast before picking up my new plane ticket. I know that I will be very busy at the airport, but I always try to take a few pictures just because I enjoy the moment.

The only animals missing are those no longer found, such as the dodo and the Tasmanian tiger.
If there’s one thing that has become more obvious to me than anything in the past several years, it’s that San Francisco has some great things to offer (and not just the Golden Gate Bridge or the cable cars). In particular, there are enough of the world’s last remaining megafauna to fill you with a sense that you’re in the wild west.
